The software has been designed as common software for surveillance hybrid platforms functioning all together with wireless and wired Internet webcams, Television-cards, capture boards, power-line, and USB webcams. It has web interface with the identical look and controls on the local and remote computers. Customers see MPEG coded video and have complete control of the program via net that security workstation can be run without monitor, keyboard, and mouse connected. Software`s modular structure drastically boosts reliability because all parts operate as independent applications. If one part fails, other units go on running. For instance if the `record` part stops working, `watchdog` restarts it right away that users don`t notice anything because they are viewing picture through a `playback` component. The software performs `cyclic` recording that the `disk full` situation never appears. The recording can be constant or it can be turned on by activity, human face recognition, or by schedule. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance workstation as well as on remote pc through Web interface. The program performs simultaneous video playback for event examination from many webcams concurrently. Also recorded files can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded information can be encrypted and password protected.
